This business specialises in providing products and software solutions to help public sector businesses achieve compliance when faced with a strict set of regulations. Their solutions make it easy for businesses to manage their people, places and property safely and legally through good health and safety management.

Some information on the role…

As a business development manager, you will be responsible for a wide sales territory ranging from Reading and covering the South West including West London. You will be working from home, managing your own schedule and visiting customers and prospects every day across your territory. You will be responsible for growing your own region, but will receive full support from head office, and a team of 3 other business development managers covering other territories.

This company is looking for a business development manager they can invest in long-term, so your training will include six weeks intensive training at their head office in the North, covering all aspects of the products and services you’ll be selling, along with sales training and prospecting support. Qualified leads and appointments will be provided to you, but you will be expected to prospect and grow your region through existing customers and new clients. With huge opportunities for growth and a chance to put your own stamp on the role, this is a fantastic opportunity!
 

What kind of person and background are we looking for?

This business development manager role requires a lot of energy, enthusiasm and initiative. You will need to be self-motivated, organised and with a flexible and personable approach. You should be excited to grow your territory as if it were your own business and have some experience with field sales or prospecting. Ideally you will be looking to develop your career long term with an established company, improve your skills and develop new innovative solutions to problems. You must be able to pass a CRB check.

What’s in it for you?

The basic salary for this role starts at £30k, with an uncapped earnings limit. This means year 1 OTE are £37k, and in year 2 this goes up to £55k or more.
